From Generative to Agentic AI: Moderating the Next Leap at AiGenFest 2025

Each panellist—Tuan Azizul Othman (Lekir Tech), Dr Saiful (UMP), Tuan Ajak Zaha, and others—shared their professional background in AI, from research to real-world deployment in platforms, robotics, and government use cases.

Bahagian 2: Pengenalan kepada AI Agent / Agentic AI

We established the foundation by exploring what AI agents are, how they differ from traditional AI models, and why “agentic AI” is becoming the next evolution in intelligent systems.

Bahagian 3: Evolusi AI Agent

The discussion covered different types of agents, the technical depth of agentic systems, and real-world platforms already integrating these capabilities—from BabyAGI to Flowise and Assistnify.

Bahagian 4: Bagaimana AI Agent Berfungsi

A breakdown of agent workflows was presented—from task planning to execution, failure recovery, and multi-app orchestration. We also discussed trust boundaries, control, and human-AI collaboration.

Bahagian 5: AI Agent Beraksi (Live Demo Segment)

Panelists showcased real-world agent demos performing complex multi-step tasks autonomously—ranging from travel bookings to summarising meeting notes—highlighting tools like AgentHub, Flowise, and GPT-based custom agents.

Bahagian 6: Masa Depan & Risiko

We addressed the pressing questions: Will AI agents replace jobs? What are the failure points? How do we build guardrails and legal frameworks? What happens when an AI agent makes a wrong decision?

The session ended with honest reflections on current limitations, failed experiments, and what users—students, professionals, and developers—can practically do today to explore AI agents meaningfully and safely.

Closing Reflections

This session was designed to move the conversation beyond hype—to clarity, application, and foresight. As moderator, our role was to ensure accessibility for all attendees, regardless of technical background, while diving deep enough to satisfy the experts.
