From Manual to Machine Speed: AI-Driven Research with Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia
Client: Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia (JAPEN) Date: 7–9 November 2025

We wrapped a three-day intensive workshop on AI-driven data analysis and research with Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia (JAPEN) at the Hotel Royale Chulan, Seremban. The session ran from 7 to 9 November 2025. The brief was clear. Stop drowning in raw data. Start using AI to surface the truth. Cut the time between information gathering and policy narrative.

This was not a theory class on what AI might be able to do. It was a tactical upgrade for the officers and researchers who handle the nation’s information flow. We deployed the heavy hitters—ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. We stripped away the hype and focused on workflow.

We tackled the bottleneck of modern research: volume. Participants learned to automate qualitative analysis, running sentiment checks on public feedback and turning unstructured text into structured insights. We bypassed the manual grind of reading thousands of comments line-by-line. Instead, we used generative AI to identify trends, isolate issues, and generate draft reports in minutes.

Tools are useless without a framework. We integrated these capabilities with solid methodology. Prof. Dr. Yarina binti Ahmad led the session on effective questionnaire design, ensuring that the data we feed into the AI is valid from the start. We connected the dots between raw inquiry and visual output, building real-time dashboards using Looker Studio and live Excel feeds.

The focus was on "Responsible AI." In the public sector, speed cannot come at the cost of accuracy or ethics. We confronted the risks of hallucination and privacy, establishing a protocol for verifying AI outputs before they become public policy.

The room responded with focus. We saw the shift from scepticism to capability as manual coding tasks that usually take days were completed in real-time. The final simulation proved the point: when you pair a skilled researcher with the right AI stack, you don't just get data faster. You get better intelligence.

We deliver these sessions to transform how government works. We move beyond "playing with chatbots" to building serious research pipelines. If your agency is ready to move from manual spreadsheets to AI-driven intelligence, we run high-impact sessions that deliver results. We don't just talk about the future. We build it in the room.

If you are ready to upgrade your department’s analytical reflexes, let us talk.
