We were honoured to be invited by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on 23 April 2025 to speak at a special session titled “AI as Creator – Who Owns the Copyright?” — a topic that's gaining serious traction across legal, creative, and tech communities.

The turnout was impressive, with nearly 80 participants attending the morning session — a clear sign that this issue resonates deeply with researchers, policymakers, and innovators alike.

During our session, we explored a wide range of critical topics:

  • Copyright Issues: Who legally owns content created by AI? The creator, the coder, or the machine itself?

  • AI Advancements: How far has AI evolved, and what does it mean for content generation?

  • AI-Driven Challenges: From ethical dilemmas to legal grey zones — the dark side of generative models.

  • The Future Ahead: What lies beyond today’s regulations and tech? How should we prepare?

We didn’t just stop at theory — we unpacked real-world case studies, discussed landmark global developments, and raised thought-provoking questions about authorship, originality, and accountability in the age of AI.

It was a session filled with robust discussion, sharp insights, and future-facing perspectives.

This dialogue is just beginning — and we’re proud to be part of shaping it.
